The Quad Studios shooting becomes the break point
On November 30, 1994, 2Pac is robbed and shot multiple times in the lobby of Manhattan’s Quad Recording Studios. Bad Boy figures, including Biggie and Sean Combs, are elsewhere in the building; 2Pac later says he believes they had advance knowledge. They deny the allegation, and no such involvement is established here.

The Rikers Vibe interview makes the distrust formal
